Yes, there were. For an example, Eutychus fell asleep after Paul preached long into the night. He fell out of a window and died. Paul prayed for him and his life was restored (Acts 20:7-12).

Of course that resurrection didn't have the significance of Christ's, but it was still a resurrection from the dead.

There have been contemporary testimonies of people who were pronounced dead, prayed over, and now live. These are rare, but they do still occur fulfilling Jesus admonitions (Mt 10:5-8; John 14:12-21). You can also read testimonies of people who saw heaven at death and then came back to life. Anything is possible with God.
